While many Toyota Hilux are factory optioned with a reverse camera it is possible for our technicians to add a reverse camera to your factory screen. Maybe you have had the tub removed and replaced with a tray so you need to replace the reverse camera. Or the factory camera has been damaged by a rogue trailer or moisture. Either way we can fix it.
Toyota Hilux Reverse Camera Kits (2004 – 2015)Our kits can add a camera to every Hilux fitted with the factory colour screen. The cameras mount as per the original above the number plate mount or from the steel or aluminium tray. Consideration is taken to ensure effective placement for performance and accuracy.
Our preferred camera for use on Toyota screens is the CMOS as featured below.
The reverse camera automatically turns on when the vehicle is put into reverse. The camera system works on Toyota Hilux with both manual and automatic transmissions. It also suits both single and dual cab utes with or with-out the factory tub or tray.
Installing the CameraThe reverse camera can be installed in approximately half a day at our Launceston workshop. And is backed by a nationwide guarantee and we only use products that are of a factory or better standard.
We treat all exposed camera cabling with split conduit and routed with factory wiring along the length of the chassis rails. When the cable runs through the vehicle interior we use factory grommets. Ensuring water is not able to enter. Internal camera wiring is also protected with loom tape and follows factory wiring to ensure longevity in extreme conditions.
Suitable for these Hilux modelsThis system is compatible with the Seventh Generation Toyota Hilux 2005 – 2013 (AN10, AN20, AN30; 2004–2015) and its variants optioned with the factory colour screen or GPS.
