With a massive canopy to fill and some major plans for long-distance adventure we equipped this rig with a full Redarc Alpha Manager system and 400AH of Enerdrive Lithium battery storage.

Designed for ease of access
Given the height of the canopy flor we designed that battery system in two parts. The main charger and switching panel is housed on the front wall of the canopy for easier access. The batteries are enclosed in an aluminium box that runs along the length of the internal dividing wall. This allows for the fitment of dual fridges that can be accessed from ground level.
As well as the canopy set-up we routed auxiliary power into the cabin to run a number of accessories including a small fridge and 12v usb and charging sockets.
A canopy fit-out designed for adventure

With plans to do some serious off-road touring we ensured that not only could we charge it fast by way of the Redarc Alpha70 but that we had plenty of battery capacity for the dual fridges. For this build we opted for a pair of Enerdrive 200AH batteries which were the same as what was fitted to the caravan. This provides an option to swap batteries out in case of component failure.
We also installed a 2000W inverter for day trips if the owner decided to leave the caravan behind for day trips.
Total Touring and Towing set-up
To complete the build we also installed a universal trailer plug module, Redarc brake controller, dual Safety Dave caravan cameras and a Lazer light bar.
